Gift Card Terms

The terms for Santa Fe Burrito Grill digital gift cards — how to buy, send, use and check them.

Last updated: Applies to the app and the website

1. Digital gift cards

Santa Fe Burrito Grill digital gift cards are issued by Santa Fe Burrito Grill. Each card has a code in the format SFGC-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX. These Gift Card Terms are part of our Terms & Conditions.

2. Buying a gift card

  • Gift cards are sold on our website’s Gift Cards page, in the amounts offered there (whole-dollar amounts between $5 and $500). You don’t need an account to buy one.
  • Payment is taken by card through Stripe, and your receipt is sent to the email address you give us. The gift card is issued once the payment is confirmed.
  • You can have the card emailed to the recipient, get a share link to send yourself, or both. If you choose the share link only, a copy is emailed to you.
  • Anyone who has the code or the share link can see and spend the balance, so share them only with the person the gift is for.

3. Using a gift card

  • Redeemable online only — in the Santa Fe app and on our website at checkout. Not accepted at the register.
  • Gift cards are not limited to a particular Santa Fe location.
  • One gift card can be used per order. The amount taken is the smaller of the card’s balance and the order total; any remainder stays on the card.
  • If the card doesn’t cover the whole order, you pay the rest by card. Card payments have a $0.50 minimum, so if less than $0.50 would be left to pay, slightly less of the gift card is applied and $0.50 is charged to your card.
  • Gift cards cannot be used on catering orders.

4. Checking your balance

  • The share link shows the card’s current balance.
  • On our Gift Cards page, enter the code under “Check a gift card balance”.
  • On this website, applying the code in your cart shows its balance.
  • If you bought the card while signed in, your account lists the gift cards you sent.

5. Expiration

Digital gift cards you buy on our website do not expire. A promotional gift card we issue ourselves may carry an expiration date; if it does, the date is shown with the card.

6. Cash value & reloading

Except where required by law, gift cards cannot be redeemed for cash, reloaded or used to buy other gift cards. Each purchase creates a new card with its own code.

7. Lost or stolen cards

Treat your code and share link like cash. If a card is lost or stolen, contact us as soon as possible at onlineorder@santafeburritogrill.com with the purchaser’s email address. Our team can look up the card, deactivate it to stop further use, and move its remaining balance to a new code.

8. Refunds & disputes

  • If a gift card purchase is refunded, the refunded amount is removed from the card’s balance, and a card refunded in full is deactivated.
  • If a gift card purchase is disputed with the card issuer, the gift card is deactivated while the dispute is reviewed.
  • When an order paid fully or partly with a gift card is cancelled or refunded, the gift card’s share of the refund is returned to the card. See our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
  • We may deactivate a gift card obtained through fraud or an unauthorized payment.

9. Applicable law & changes

These terms apply except where applicable law, including Massachusetts law, gives you different rights. We may update these terms; the date at the top of this page shows when they last changed.
